Abstract

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to review the implementation of the use of the Building Importation Modeling (BIM) system among the construction service community in DKI Jakarta in 2020. This review was carried out on consultants and contractors with medium-scale Grade-A and large-scale Grade-B in DKI Jakarta. Data collection methods were carried out by means of observation and interviews as well as distributing questionnaires to consultants and contractors in DKI Jakarta. Analysis of respondents' responses was carried out using SPSS v.26 software, by looking for relationships with consultants and contractors who use the BIM system. From the results of the study, it was concluded that not all large and medium scale consultants and contractors were using the BIM system. Only the large-scale, Grade-B DKI Jakarta consultants and contractors are currently using the BIM system in 2020. This BIM system is considered to be quite sophisticated and effectively applied to the planning and implementation of building construction. We must support government programs, in the context of certification of experts, especially in the field of construction services in the country. So, the program is very suitable in the future, it is recommended to use the BIM system evenly among the construction service community throughout the country.

Key words: BIM implementation, consultants, contractors, DKI Jakarta.
